Zoom, MN 0

Join us for this Zoom program on nature journaling and how it can help you or others connect more deeply to your favorite parks, lakes, forests, prairies and backyards.

We’ll dig into this growing pastime and cover how to get started and stay motivated; tips and techniques for logging observations and special interests; getting past fears of drawing (or writing, depending on which you favor); materials that hold up well; and ideas for nature journaling activities you can do on your own or with the organizations you volunteer with.

The core program will be 60 minutes for anyone on their lunch break, but you are welcome to extend it for a Q&A and idea session or the chance to share your own nature journals and how it’s helped you be a better naturalist and steward.

Master Naturalist and lifelong journal-keeper Lisa Meyers McClintick is a certified nature journaling educator through the Wild Wonder Foundation and writes “This Week in Nature” and travel features for the Star Tribune.

Zoom link will be shared two weeks in advance of the program.
