Ever wonder how science helps us understand nature? Tag along with some scientists! Join Dr. Joe Whittaker, Instructor of Mammalogy at Itasca Biological Station and Associate Professor of Biology at Concordia College, and Cam Sharpe, student researcher, for an introduction to the squirrels of Itasca, with a special spotlight on the remarkable flying squirrels that glide through the nighttime forest. Learn about their unique habits, how to recognize these elusive animals, and how scientists use radio telemetry technology to better understand their lives in a changing world.
This program is coordinated by the University of Minnesota's Itasca Biological Station and Itasca State Park.
