Help us keep our lakes and waterways clean for loons, wildlife, and our future generations during the 2026 Minnesota Loons & Lakes Festival!
The Lakeshore Cleanup will be Friday June 26th from 10:00am-1:00pm at the USACE Crosslake Recreation Area. We will gather at the Recreation Area at 10:00am to split into teams before dispersing to our identified cleanup sites. After 1.5 hours of gathering trash at the sites, we will meet back at the Recreation Area to debrief and weigh our hauls, then adjourn at 1:00pm.
Volunteers should be prepared to be outside and bring the following:
-Sunscreen/bug spray
-Hats
-Appropriate shoes for walking (if you would like to bring waders or rubber boots for walking on the lakeshore, we encourage that!)
-Reusable water bottles (we will bring extra waters and snacks)
-Reflective vests or bright clothing, if wanted
-Trash grabbers if you have one (NLC has a few grabbers available for those that need one)
Be prepared for all weather!
