Wondering about the loons-eye view beyond the shoreline? Join us for an on-water workshop on loons and the riparian zone, a.k.a. the land on the edge of the lake. This workshop is perfect for lakeshore property owners, especially those with wooded areas on their property, and anyone interested in loons and lakes!

Experiences during the workshop: -View nesting territories of loons & early season behavior -Secchi disk demonstration -View areas of forested shoreland & shoreline nesting species -Practice counting birds seen on and along the shore using eBird

This is an in-person workshop taking place on board the loon pontoon, the StewardShip, and departing from the Cross Lake Recreation Area. We'll visit different sections of the Whitefish Chain, tentatively Cross, Daggett, and Little Pine Lakes.

This workshop is session 2 of a four part workshop series. Attend the rest of the series for the full experience!
