Share Our Shoreline by landscaping for loons to protect Minnesota's state bird! A Shoreline Technician from the Crow Wing Soil & Water Conservation District will join the NLC for this workshop to answer your questions about shoreline maintenance and restoration. This workshop is perfect for MN Master Naturalists, lakeshore property owners, and anyone interested in how you can landscape for loons.

Experiences during the workshop: -View nesting territories of loons -Aquatic Invasive Species rake toss demonstration -Visit shoreline restoration sites -Practice a shoreline assessment -View a Starry Stonewort management site

This is an in-person workshop taking place on board the loon pontoon, the StewardShip, and departing from the Cross Lake Recreation Area. We'll visit different sections of the Whitefish Chain, tentatively Cross, Rush, and Lower Whitefish Lakes. This workshop is session 1 of a four part workshop series.
