Winter is a great time to trek through the woods and visit areas that might not be accessible during the warmer months. Its also a great time to slow down and notice things you might not see when there are leaves on trees! Join Long Lake Conservation Center naturalists on a winter walk around the center as we focus on observing the little things around us. We will be accompanied by Sam Guida, author of "Galls, Burls, and Brooms of the North Woods" who will point out plant growths that are often overlooked: galls, brooms, and burls!

The majority of this event will be outdoors, ending with a bonfire and refreshments. Please bring a water bottle and snacks if you would like. Long Lake Conservation Center has binoculars, hand lenses and snowshoes but participants are encouraged to bring any gear they want!

Please visit the Long Lake Conservation Center website to sign up! https://www.longlakecc.org/category/all-products

The course cost is $10 and includes course manuals and supplies.
