NEED TO KNOW

• Dogs are not allowed on the preserve
• snake sitings are likely
• Poison is prevalent in throughout. We will try to avoid it but will likely walk through at least a patch or two.

MUST BRING

• Water
• Snacks/lunch
• weather appropriate clothing-sun hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, etc.

RECOMMENDED

• Tall boots you can tuck your rain boots into -helps immensely with Poison Ivy
• carabiners -to attach milk jugs to our belt loops for seed receptacles. Belts, bungee cords etc. also work to string through the handles and hook around your waist.

WE WILL CANCEL IN THE EVENT OF:

• Heat index over 90 degrees
• Lightning
• Downpour

MOBILITY NEEDED

• Bending/kneeling to plant height-as low as 1 foot off the ground
• Slowly walking up to 3 miles
