Invasive Plant Species Removal volunteers will work with Jeffers Petroglyphs staff and coordinators to remove Queen Anne’s lace and wild parsnip from designated areas to preserve the natural status of the site.
Jeffers Petroglyphs is an internationally significant Native American sacred site and the location of the largest group of Indigenous petroglyphs (rock carvings) in the Midwestern United States. Situated in Dakota homeland, it is sacred to multiple Native American nations, including the Cheyenne, Arapaho, Iowa, and Ojibwe. Lend a hand - help us remove exotic plant species encroaching on this special place.
If you are interested in helping out, please RSVP through this form by Monday, June 16.
