Join Eastman Nature Center and Change Narrative for an immersive climate storytelling workshop designed to support reflection and writing personal narratives of climate change, for participants to realize the power of their voice to activate solutions for a better world. This workshop is a virtual facilitated group experience, utilizing the concept of 'think, pair, share' with built-in opportunities to build confidence by sharing 'imperfect drafts' with others, encouraging stories to develop through a spirit of 'learning in public'. Participants will leave this experience with a powerful story spark, short blurb, or story draft.
Storytellers interested in sharing their story beyond the workshop will be invited to submit their story to be considered for a live sharing at a Community Storytelling Event held February 24th at Eastman Nature Center, alongside youth who will share their climate stories and participate in an authentic, intergenerational conversation about climate change that speaks to the importance of what it means to be alive in this time.
