It's a tough world out there and animals in Minnesota are designed (mostly) to survive our harsh winters. We'll talk about different animal strategies in response to winter and hike the beautiful trails of Eastman Nature Center for an experiential approach to learning. Part indoor classroom and part outdoor classroom. Dress for the day's weather conditions. Snowshoes provided if needed!

The course cost is $30 and includes course manuals and supplies.

Instructor Information

Anne Jaeger

Anne has been an outdoor educator for over 25 years and is known for creating adventuresome and safe learning experiences for people ages 3 to 93 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies, is a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), a Leave No Trace (LNT) Master Educator, PSIA Nordic ski instructor and is currently fascinated with mushrooms. Her world travels have taken her from the rivers and eskers of the Arctic Circle to the mountains and glaciers of Patagonia.
