Description
Do you enjoy learning about the natural world, sharing that knowledge with others and supporting conservation? If so, becoming a Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteer is for you! The Minnesota Master Naturalist Program is designed to teach adult participants about natural and cultural history of the three major biomes of Minnesota. This class will focus on the northern biome curriculum: Northwoods, Great Lakes.

The Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteer Training Course consists of 40 hours of in-classroom training. The classroom training includes a variety of teaching methods—lectures, Power Points, hands-on activities, videos, and field trips that provide the participants with information on Minnesota's natural history.

For those who wish to continue as a Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteer, students will be expected to complete 40 hours of volunteer service per year to be considered an active Master Naturalist.

For those who simply wish to add to their understanding of Minnesota's ecology, this is an excellent opportunity to meet other like-minded people, gain continuing education credit or to just have fun while learning!

You do not have to be a Minnesota resident to take this course.
