ADV - Native Bees of Minnesota
Saint Paul, MN 55108
Do you find yourself excited by all the buzz about bees in the news? Did you know that there are over 400 bee species in Minnesota? Come join us to learn more about our native bees through this exciting workshop hosted through a partnership between the Minnesota Bee Atlas and University of Minnesota Bee Lab! We will learn about the common bee genera that you can find in the Twin Cities, as well as ways you can get involved with the Bee Atlas, a citizen science project studying which bees live where in Minnesota. You will also get an update about current native bee research that is happening in the lab. The instructors include staff from the Bee Atlas and UMN Bee Lab graduate students. Class will conclude with a tour of the state-of-the art bee research facility on the University of Minnesota St. Paul Campus.
The course cost is $35 and includes course manuals and supplies.
