The inaugural course for the Minnesota Master Naturalist Program is underway at Fort Snelling State Park in St. Paul. The students are learning about natural and cultural history of the Big Woods, Big Rivers ecosystem of our state. The class started on September 15 and will run through December 1.
The pilot class has 23 students in it who are providing valuable feedback and comments as the program is rolled out.
The Big Woods, Big Rivers Class consists of 11 class periods and two field trips to learn more and provide students with hands on opportunities to put to practice the classroom learning.
Future classes will be offered early in 2006. Watch the web page for more information!
