Itasca State Park is hosting a Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteer Training running from September 16 through September 20, 2013.

Master Naturalist volunteers complete a 40-hour hands-on course with expert instructors and fellow learners studying natural history, environmental interpretation, and conservation stewardship. At the end of the week you will become a certified Master Naturalist volunteer! Expect to spend time learning in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Weather permitting, we will spend significant time outdoors hiking, canoeing, and exploring the state park.
